But they aren't using human grade corn for ethanol production, they're using cattle corn which is used for livestock feed. Humans can't eat cattle corn, it's not nice.

I'm not defending ethanol as I think it's crap to put our gas tanks, but just saying that our food is not being used for fuel production as most people on this thread are saying. Ever tried to eat cattle corn???
And any farmer who grows sweet corn for human consumption plants the first six rows of cattle corn all around his crop because of the people who pull off the road to steal some.....those who don't know are just getting cattle corn to take home for supper....yuck.
